Just as we all know, around two years ago Cadillac trademarked a lot of new names for the future cars and many people thought that they were just going to rename their cars but later Cadillac said that they want an entirely new roster of cars in order to allow them to become a true premium car manufacturer. This will also mean that Cadillac will finally be able to compete with BMW, Mercedes and Audi and their latest models, the ATS and the CTS, proved that their cars can and will be better than those of their competitors.

The base model has already been confirmed to start at $54,000 which is a lot less than we thought. In fact, this makes the CT6 at least $30,000 cheaper than its nearest competitor from Europe which makes it an even better choice.

Also, thanks to its highly modular Alpha platform which is also used on the ATS and CTS, the car only weighs 3,700 pounds which is far less than its competitors. In fact, it is almost as light as the CTS which is nearly 10 inches shorter than it and a lot less equipped.

The car will be available for sale in March and a future high performance model is expected to be released by the end of the year.
