The 2017 Audi A7 is the latest word in luxury cars, at least as far as Audis go. It is a considerable improvement in almost every aspect, especially the engine. The overall appearance is going to be as stylish as ever, and the interior is not going to lag behind, either.
2017 Audi A7 Release Date
The 2017 Audi A7 is due for launch by the end of 2016. In any case, we should be able to see it in action by this Fall, if everything goes according to plan, of course.
Price for 2017 Audi A7
The price of the new A7 is going to be on par with previous models. That means the base version should go for roughly $69,000.
Naturally, additional equipment, color options and engine options are going to drive that price much higher, but it should be a good match for its competition and give them a run for their money.
Exterior of Audi A7
The exterior of the 2017 Audi A7 is not going to change much in comparison to the previous models, although there will be changes.
For instance, the front is larger and it now features a single frame grille, making the car look far more aggressive from the front, although the rear fascia has not been neglected either.
The lights have been upgraded but still feature standard LED technology, which has proven reliable and effective regardless of the weather. The improved aerodynamic properties will certainly improve handling even further.
Audi A7 2017 Interior
On the inside the 2017 Audi A7 will be just as luxurious and comfortable as its predecessor, mostly because there are relatively few changes in comparison.
For instance, the leather upholstery is just as sleek and classy as ever, while the dual zone climate control system is going to keep it just the right temperature.
The cabin offers lots of room even for more corpulent people, and as if that was not enough, the seats can be adjusted for even greater comfort.
The infotainment system is top of the line, covering both the (optional) navigation and any other necessity that might arise along the way. The issue of connectivity has also been given due attention, and the new A7 features its own Wi-Fi hot spot, coupled with Bluetooth as well as an USB port.
Audi A7 Engine and Transmission
Under the hood of the new Audi A7 is going to be an improved version of the famous V-6 engine. We are talking about a 3.0 L supercharged V–6, packing 310 horsepower as well as 385 pound-feet of torque, coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The new A7 will be able to reach 60 mph in 5.5 seconds, while its top speed is capped at 155 mph. The fuel efficiency has been given some thought as well, and this is especially true of the diesel version.
Speaking of which, it offers slightly a better performance – although the top of the line is a twin-turbocharged 4.0 L V-8. It packs 420 ponies and can reach 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, which is pretty impressive for a luxury car.
