Most of out there probably know that the Jeep Patriot is the cheapest SUV in business. Even though the carmaker offers it at mind-bogglingly low price, it has a lot of things to offer to its customers. Its price might be the main reason why it enjoys such popularity but the Jeep Patriot has powerful and fuel-efficient engines, decent cabin, and good-looking and capable body that make it even more desirable among customers.
The Subaru Forester, the Honda CR-V, and the Toyota RAV4 might be more refined vehicles, but there are several good reasons why the Jeep Patriot would be our choice.
The entry-trim level might not offer you much in terms of convenience, but a wide range of optional features can make the 2017 Jeep Patriot an excellent rider.
If you want to have a Jeep so badly, and you are tight on money, the refreshed version of the Jeep Patriot could be your ticket into the brand.
Exterior of 2017 Jeep Patriot
In terms of exterior, the 2017 Jeep Patriot shares a lot of design cues with the Jeep Liberty. It has the same squarish-like design as the Liberty, but we must say that it looks more car-like than its sibling. The Patriot uses the same platform as the Compass.
You might not mistake the Jeep Patriot for the Wrangler Unlimited, but it is still a recognizable Jeep. Its front end is decorated with Jeep’s trademark grille with 7 vertical slots. The round headlamps are also present. With its roof rails, the vehicle is amazingly practical and capable.
Higher trim levels come with skid plates and tow hooks for improved toughness. The entry trim level will ride on 16-inch steel wheels, while more advanced trims get 17-inch aluminum wheels.
2017 Jeep Patriot Interior
The cabin of the 2017 Jeep Patriot accommodates 5 passengers in its 2-row interior. Depending on a trim level you go for, your Patriot can be turned from a simple, utilitarian vehicle to a nicely equipped model with leather-wrapped seats, infotainment system, and a 6.5 inches touch-sensitive screen.
The second row of seats can be folded nearly flat to get extra cargo volume. In terms of features and convenience, you won’t get much in the base model. For example, you will have to lock the doors manually and crank your own windows, but you can equip your Patriot decently at a low price.
Higher trim levels get navigation system, entertainment system, air conditioning, leather-wrapped steering wheel, sunroof, power-adjustable driver’s seats, etc.
